| Hi I hope you can help, I would like to play some mods, so I installed COA as per the instructions. it works great, only occasionally, say 10 min into a skirmish, the program just crashes out back to desktop, no error message or anything, just ends. Task manager still says that kingdoms is running.
At first I thought this was an issue with COA so I played new era instead. exact same things happens, it works great, until the moment it crashes.
I'm hoping someone can advise/ has experienced this also because I really like the mods.

| Does this only happen when you use mods or normal tak too?
Also what windows do you have? I know some people have problem in win8~10 | |

| Hi Spagg, thanks for your reply. I dont seem to get it in normal TAK, which is strange. I have windows 10. I'm really hoping this can be fixed because I love the mods | |

| Oh I have no idea then.. sorry!
If it happened with vanilla TA:K then I would suggest using a program called "dxwnd", it fixes lag and few bugs in very old windows games like tak. But since it only happens with mods then it shouldnt make any difference
maybe DK or someone more familiar with mods might be able to help | |

| Sorry to hear that , APM.
COA - a total conversion mod could be conflicting with another mod or 3rd party unit. Older mods such as COA are crash prone. New Era, depending on version, is mostly bug free. Still, Sage has tried to work out most of the bugs in New Era, but some units still cause a crash. All in all, mods can be buggy. However, if you can isolate the crash to what is causing it, maybe someone can fix the problem. | |

| playing as new era as normal, works great, then suddenly crash to desktop, no error message. task manager says kingdoms.exe is running, kingdoms.icd is not responding, what is kingdoms.icd?
I created a memory dump .dmp of the crash, is that useful? | |

The crashing part of the New Era mod could be coming from a broken unit. Hopefully, someone can help in getting some of them fixed. | |
