| Hey guys, I've been around somewhere... lol... And found a new """cheat""" to be used. It is: +showframerate You should type it correctly or it won't work. It's very VERY useful if you wanna see your frame rate in game, if it's high or low. From 0-20 it's bad, because it's laggy as \"****\'. From 20-40 is fine, playable, not laggy. From 40+ you are good. Here is a screenshot of mine: The first number is your framerate. The second between the parenthesis is your average fps. And the third is... I don't really know but it should be the refresh rate of the framerate. =s

| 60 fps is max of this game ( i quess limit game) - Spoiler:
{its for 95% bullshit even about unreal tournament 3 ignore it} [IMO mode i might be hardly mistake} ms i call "ping inside game" "inside latency" i could be really wrong, but i believe that game give small latency "inside" to optimalize using resources of PC
i see ms and fps in unreal tournament 3 after posting similar command and its for sure "inside latency" (so yea you can "lag" (but its quite other type) inside your game

| LOL its how long take 1 Frame (1000/60=16,6) xD
so its can be refresh rate (i don't understand it before)

| What dou you mean by refresh rate? As far as I know: framerate - the interval in milliseconds that occur between frames fps - exactly what it means, how many frames occur in 1 second i.e how many render calls happened between the last second and the current second. When the game "lags" it's because the delta value (last frame - current frame time) is too high, so the units movements (when multiplied to the delta value) get to different and notorious. Delta is required in a game like tak because if it didn't exist then someone playing the game in 60fps would see the game progressing 6* times faster than someone playing at 10fps... Anyway what are talking about again? | |

| just forget about lag xD
i think now that ms mean just how long it take to give next frame for program its same like fps, but in other unit fps - how many frames per second ms - how many take time to give next frame
1000 ms / fps = that something 3rd stuff
Edit you were thinking about other type lag xD, but nvm now i just lose to fast think to be more specific xD

| Nice investigation Manolo. Keep up the good work. But it would be nicer if you played a game or two. | |

Mine taps out at 60, woohoo! It depends on your screen refresh rate, and if VSync is on. Example: You have a monitor with 60hz with VSync on, it won't pass over 60 fps. You have a monitor with 60hz with VSync off, it will get the max FPS your computer can achieve. ^^ Summary: VSync just locks the FPS with the refresh rate of your monitor. /\ I'm talking about FPS, I know VSync fixes frames and some image bugs and etc... Btw I'm not playing because... I don't have a reason, lol, it's just because I don't have the will to play. ^^

| Bump! ShowFrameRate's Secrets: News: I discovered a shortcut to "+showframerate" command, and it is: Ctrl+Enter. If you press Ctrl+Enter again it will show this cool graph. :3 This command isn't defined in Keys.tdf. (It can help a lot modding/programming and using TA:K Engine ^^)

| GJ, so in this way sokka "beat" that system
BTW I can get "+showframerate" usefull only if i make no mistake*, and command give result even i not press enter
It can help specially on weird script maps (somewhat like Rammstein Snake, but there are no much map like this ;/ )
*during typing, if i put one word wrong, and even correct, i need to re write this

| I studied electronics when I attended university many years ago. The X frames per second isn't refering to the number of pictures that are been produced in a second but the number of half pictures that are been produced in a second. From your point view looking at the computer monitor the scanning beam is moving left to right top to bottom. The beam starts by altering the colour of the pixels on the odd number lines (lines 1,3,5.. and so on) until the monitor receives a fly-back to top of screen signal which would normally be the last odd line that you monitor's resolution is set too. After a fly-back to top of screen signal is received the monitor alters the colour of the pixels on the even number scan lines (lines 2,4,6.. and so on). What ever the X fps that is been reported to you half the X number and that is the number of actual full pictures that is been produced per second. 60 fps is 30 pictures per second.
The 16.6 ms is the time that is taken to produce a half picture, 16.6 milli-seconds.

| Yes it does MalinOMW, that includes television. Though the television works at 50 *Hertz (which is 25 pictures per second) this allows television the match the actual frame rate of a film which is screened at 25 photographs per second.
*I used Hertz here rather than fps because Hertz is the correct expression and not fps.
If you have say a Nvidia graphics card and use the Nvidia Control Panel to change the output resolution of the graphics card it will display the refresh rate in Hertz and not fps.

| Bump! Found another thing. Do not need the Cheat Codes on. +showsrs -Allows you to see total units that are being rendered, total units on screen, and total units in game. +rendertarget # -Where # is a number, it allows you to change the Target value of showsrs (I don't know yet what it does). I'm sharing this, but some may think it's a problem because the enemy can see the total units in game and try to guess what you're doing. Btw, need to test if works in multiplayer to see if it's a problem. | |

| as long as we don't play for money and as long as there are better ways to "improve units" (like some specific stats) (and its barerly possible to find out it)
anyway entering commands, are always in global chat
Edit {offtop} probably this options was very important to test, and too see how many units cause some lags etc (remember in 1999 PC had like 32-128 (maybe somebody had 256MiB ram) (XP with SP3 require like 256-512 :S)
