In my 23 years living in this city I was mugged 2 times, one threatened with a knife and the second at gun point. My house was broken into one time while nobody was there. Clothes drying on clothes line were stolen over one night. One of my cousins had his car robbed 4 times. You can't have a car here without insurance for robbery. I don't know anyone in my close social circle that wasn't robbed at some point in their lives. If I could I would move to another country and insecurity would be one of the reasons (not the main one though). Make your own conclusions...
