Directplay through Switcher (IP direct)

Hi all,
Please help me get through this :


I tried to play directplay with my peer via Switcher, just to elevate the Ai's level.
But when I enter the IP address, it says :

"WSA error"

Does it mean we both have to turn off the firewall?
Or Do you have any other solutions?


Meanwhile on Gameranger, I want to play 2vs6 (2 men vs 6 AIs), but adding AIs are sooooo difficult.
Like adding 3 AI seems maximum.
Is there any tip to add further?

Switcher cannot be used for multiplayer.

What you may want to do in this case is:

1. Place the AI file in the main Kingdoms folder.
2. Rename Kingdoms.key to Kingdoms.backup.key
3. Open kingnocd.exe, and try multiplayer from there.

Both players need to do the same.

Thanks Sage, I tried a few ways alone, and I think I found one way.

At each computer equally;

1. DMZ on
2. Firewall off (temporarily)
*The multiplayer function in the Switcher is not working!
3. Switcher on, and TA:K on via Switcher
4. Go to "Play an opponent" menu inside the game
5. Host a room
6. Search by IP and you will see the room.

I found this after trying many times with my two computers.
Port forwarding and firewall truely disrupts the connection.

Meanwhile, is the extreme23 is the hardest AI right?
