I decided to post a PvP multiplayer map instead of a co-op one this week. In this map, each player don't start with a Monarch but with 5 builders instead; one builder of each race.

The most amazing thing of this kind of map is its versality; if you switch off the "Use Map Script" button, then this map can be played normally like a non-scripted one (you start with the Monarch of your respective race).

Furthermore, this is an extremely easy map to make. Just create a skirmish map via the Cartographer and place 5 builders (one of each race) near the starting position of each player (just be careful the builders to belong to the respectful player). Now, run your map online with the "Use Map Script" button pressed and have fun!

How would you played if you don't have a Monarch to command but you hold a builder of each race since the very beginning? This map let's you find this out. 4 players battle in a free-for-all or 2-versus-2 game with the whole tech tree of Darien and Creon available to them!

wouldn't it be better to have screenshoots in a higher resolution?

what a difference between this scrennshot and with higher resolution with bigger "dark side"

u can see on this screen that what is the most important

can u make fairplay map for 1v1 or 2v2 (but i think 1v1 would the awesomest) game?
that can be one of the best ballanced 3rd map

That's the easiest thing evar! Just remove players 3 to 8 from both map and scripting, resize map to make it smaller and it is ready! The only thing I have actually to do and takes some time is to make Fairplay maps with tilesets different than Creon, because I can't just copy/paste scripts between different maps. I will see what I can do after my exams. Wink

Btw, I don't think better resolution has an impact because on the internet a picture usually occupies as many pixels as its real size is, no more no less. Because of this, I am afraid it can't become any prettier by increasing its resolution. Sad

and also that game look crappy on resoultion higher than something 1440x900 , cause interface is really small, units are small and ?hard clickable?
