Problems playing TAK (go figure)

First of all, I have two windows accounts for the sad purpose of TAK. The main windows account can play and download just fine, but there are unpredictable freezes. So I use the second windows account to play which does not freeze at all.

However, the second account has a gameranger error when I join a room (main account does not do this). The NAT router error about ports. I always just click "Join Anyway". Now on this second and somewhat TAK functional account, everything works but I cannot download maps. I've tried reinstalling on the main account twice today to see if everything would work with but it still freezes.

Can anyone point me in the right direction to solve this problem?

You can try creating a new windows admin account and see if that works. Or, reinstall windows completely! Actually, if there is something corrupt in windows, try to download combofix and run it in safemode with networking; click ok on all its messages: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/combofix/dl/12/

I don't really know what is happening with you. Mine is Windows 7 64 bits, very powerful PC, and TA:K works fine. //What the \"****\' you guys do in your PCs that just gives trouble??

You could try the technical informatics' tips:

-Reboot your Computer.
-Try uninstalling unnecessary programs.
-Defrag your disk.
-Repair your Windows with Windows' CD.
-Boot your PC in Secure Mode and run your Anti-Virus scan.
-If none of these stupid and useless things worked: buy a new power supply or a new DVD driver, they maybe got burned and that's what is causing your gameranger's problem. Also try formatting, it's a good way to lose all your files, documents, programs, serials, AND fix your problem. ^^'

But maybe, only repairing/formatting Windows should be the solution. Because GameRanger shouldn't work in that way. Try reinstalling him? ;X

Well, do you play via UTAK Pack or via a CD? If you play via the second option, then download the UTAK Pack and play from there (here is an UTAK Pack link:

If you already own the original TA:Kingdoms, then playing via the UTAK Pack is NOT piracy or illegal at all.

I think the new admin account worked. I briefly tested it with train and X last night and everything wAs working. Thank you guys for your help.

You may have some kind of virus that is corrupting your accounts. I'd recommend to do the virus removal in safemode with combofix first, and then malwarebytes.

Combofix is awesome
i had small problem caused by virus,( but rly it wasn't 100% virus it was just some small kind annoying shit, which make annoying thing, that always everything was opened in new window)
