2v2 Tournament: Bracket & Maps

This tournament due to having ten teams will need a bracket of 16.  There will be six "BYE's" and they will be rewarded to the first six teams that has registered.  The early bird gets the worm!  The 1 seed will play the 16th seed, the 2nd seeded team will play the 15th seed, the 3rd seeded team will play the 14th seed, and so on.

Here is the list of teams in the order that they registered:

All 3rd Party maps will be !2 maps or other maps where you won't have to meet in the middle.  !2 maps will work (as suggested by Malin) by the other team who doesn't have host hitting "abort" when waiting for host and than rejoins.  This will allow the host's team to be in the first two slots for map picking.

Maps for Each Round: Round 1 Maps  Round 2 Maps  Round 3 Maps Round 4 Maps  The 5th map for Round 4 is Sewers of Elam.  For some reason, it was not in my "maps" folder and I can't find it in my hard drive.

There are 10 teams but you have 8 spots on the starting bracket. How will it work?

That is a bracket of 16.  Check out Double's bracket of 8 and you will see the difference.  Each block represents a round.  I thought it was a good idea based upon what I could figure out using MSPaint (hehe Double).  All in all, after 12 AM EST, everyone will see the filled in bracket.

I have a feeling that Rammstein and Sage will be having problems getting in a game together on GameRanger.  I think that the solution is to play an IP game.. if that's possible.

I also discovered that the link for downloading the maps will only work if I stay logged into my Gmail account.

dunno how to set in english version google drive: but try to find somewhere option to "public official" that map pack
(or you can send this map pack for somebody else(me example or manolo) also, and they can public maps too)

Oh, and sorry Myst that I picked the maps already.  Since there is only 4 teams meeting head on in Round 1, I didn't think you would mind that I picked some pretty random (not all highly played) maps.  Us and Manolo can pick maps for some of the upcoming rounds in due weeks ahead.

Lets see if we can get the two matchups set up soon.  I'm sure you guys have a few time restraints, so I'm going to try and help get this started soon.

The Bracket has been updated. Now, there are no more "BYE's," just teams playing teams. Round 2 begins next week, Sunday the 8th of December.

Double and Sage beat Rammstein and Rastij. Good game guys.

Bracket updated. I'm glad to see you and Rammstein were able to get into a game together.

Ramm and Rast were vicious on the DC map, it threw us off balance quite a bit.  All were great games.

So who's running the bookies for this?

Sage and Double won over me and Rastij. It was some good games but in the end their victory was a well deserved one!

Hehe.  I was almost afraid someone would bring that up.  I guess that means there are favorites and that would make for some upsets!

I was thinking.. Maybe the matchups that are supposed to take place next week could be started to be played sooner.  It seems to be tough enough to get two matchups rolling in week 1 as it is.  Should we start round two today/tomorrow, or just immediately after the Arthan/Angel - Sokka/bdrooter matchup assuming they get it in real soon.  Let me know what you guys think.
