Enhanced Launcher not working on Win98

Hello.
Sorry for asking for help in my first post, but I'd really love to squeeze something more from TA:K...
Any possible idead how/if I can get enhanced launcher to work on Windows 98?
When trying to run normally it gives this:


When trying Windows Vista compatibility mode I get this error:


Any ideas how to make it work? Or maybe somehow without enhanced launcher?
I don't have enough space for other "windowsez" on that PC...and my 'everyday use' linux laptop has crappy intel 945gm igpu(don't ask...)

Any help would be appreciated!
